La Alzambra is a residential complex located in the heart of Marbella, conceived as a closed and secure garden community. The project is structured around a series of compact, low-rise blocks, arranged organically along internal axes that follow the terrain’s natural topography. The architectural language draws from a vernacular Mediterranean vocabulary, reinterpreted through a contemporary lens.

The buildings are characterized by terracotta-toned stucco facades, punctuated by recessed openings, vertical latticework, and pergolas in timber or steel. The expressive plasticity of the volumes—featuring domes, turrets, projecting balconies and varied rooflines—creates a rhythmic skyline that softens the density of the ensemble while preserving a strong sense of identity.

Each block is set within a dense tropical landscape of palms and flowering species, with pedestrian paths weaving through communal courtyards, garden zones, and multiple pools that act as central gathering nodes. The integration between built and natural elements was conceived to maximize privacy while reinforcing a sense of continuity throughout the complex.

Careful attention was given to solar orientation and cross-ventilation, with deep terraces and shaded porches mediating between indoor and outdoor space. The result is a residential typology that is at once introspective and open, combining climatic efficiency with visual richness in the context of the Costa del Sol.
